So I got an inbox full of assignments to do for work. This should be tons of fun. I think I'll finish a lot quicker though since hubby has been home taking care of Noah. I don't know what I am going to do when he goes back to school. Its so nice being able to just sit and get my work done in a timely manner. Oh well I manage most of the time without him I'm sure I can manage it when he goes back to school. New Years is Thursday I can't believe it! Where did all the time go? I haven't thought of a resolution yet, but I'm getting there! Cross your fingers that I'll be able to keep it!
Christmas has come and gone. My family that was visiting from New Orleans went home today so my house is mine again. I haven't yet had time to actually clean up and get everything organized. Noah got everything he wanted for Christmas so I'm happy he's happy but now he has a birthday coming up in January so he'll be getting a lot more. I got the lense I wanted for my camera and I've been testing it out. I really want to go and find somewhere I can get good actions shots of wildlife. I tried to photograph a bird this morning, but I kept losing him in the viewfinder so I gave up. Lol! Ok I'm going to go finish watching Drumline and try to put things away. Wish me luck!
Until after Christmas. Sorry things are just too chaotic right now with everyone being here so I need to just back away from the internet for a bit and enjoy having them here. I'll be back soon! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
At least until after Christmas. I'm so exhausted, but I managed to get everything done! Now all I have to do is drive out to the office Monday and drop off my stuff. Sometimes I really hate Christmas I always feel rushed and I hate that. Oh well at least now I can relax (a little) and enjoy my family who's coming in to visit. Hopefully they all have a safe trip and we all have a good time.
First I wanted to tell the people who have access to my blogger that I posted some new belly pics so go check those out! O.K. big news I finally got my new vehicle and I think I shocked everyone with my choice. I've been going back and forth all weekend long and I decided to get a Chevy Suburban. My husband and I both agreed that we weren't finished having children (I know a woman at church who has 7 so maybe we'll try to beat her out lol) so maybe something big would work out for us best. Plus the snow and the fact that we have a big family already it just seemed to make the most sense. So now when we go to the airport to pick up my grandparents and my aunts we will have room to shuttle them to our house in only one vehicle! Hallelujah! I always liked driving Justin's Avalanche so the transition from my VW Bug to the Suburban was a piece of cake. I'll post some pictures later, but I have to say I almost didn't think my new car would make it home safely. I drove it to McDonald's because Noah was getting hungry as were my husband and I, plus we figured we'd let Noah wear himself out. After about an hour we decided to head home, but I was not feeling to well so I let my husband drive. We're on the freeway everything is going smoothly, but for some odd reason the vehicle in front of us slams on their brakes. My husband was a good car length behind them so he didn't hit them or anything, but he was so angry because he knew exactly what they were trying to do. I have never seen Justin so mad and next thing I know he decides he's going to follow this man home and have a word with him. The man (who was a huge butthold btw) gets out and he's like "You were tailgating me so if you tailgate I'll brake." Excuse me? That is really pathetic that someone would purposely try to cause an accident and even I was starting to get a little mad. My husband was really polite and he asked the man if he could see his lights in the front of the vehicle and he said he could in which my husband replied "If you could see my lights I wasn't tailgating." Then we just left and went home. Honestly some people in this world should not be given driver licenses. I mean to say you were going to cause an accident because someone was too close to you is the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Maybe if you were going the speed limit people wouldn't come up on you so quickly, but it's whatever now. My husband did very well in handling his anger and we all got home safe.
First off congrats to my dad who gave his first homily today as an ordained deacon. We're all very proud of him and he's worked very hard to get to where he is today. Speaking of his homily of course he made sure to mention us and tell everyone in church how awesome we are. While he's naming off names I realized instead of calling our new baby Adelyn he actually just went straight to Madelyn. I knew it was going to happen considering he is one of those that has an awful time with names so if you go to far out of the box he just won't get it. My husband had actually mentioned to me just changing it to Madelyn for the sake of our child probably ending up being called that by my father regardless. While I did like the idea of trying something different I am realizing now it just isn't very practical and our daughter will constantly be correcting people. So with that being said she will be a little miss Madelyn Claire and I am quite relieved that the name game is all over. We've officially decided on something and we're sticking to it!
Are those not the coolest sneakers you've seen or what!? I got them yesterday after I discovered Target didn't sell the Sanuk's I had seen online. Don't you hate that? I decided to stop by Shoe Carnival to see if maybe they had some since it's where I had purchased my Sperry's so I figured what the hey. I did find some that were like the Sanuk's, but were made by Sketchers. Let me start off by saying they were super ugly! It's one of those where I'm glad I saw them in person because they were just not cute, but I tried them on anyways. They were AWFUL! I'm not hating on Sketchers because I have quite a few pair that I love, but these were not it. So I put them back and decide to look around. I've always been a Converse girl so I figured I needed a new pair of black and white ones, it was buy one get one half off, so why not. I get my first pair and look up...OH MY GOSH! CHRISTMAS COLORED CONVERSE! I couldn't pass them up since I'm such a sucker for the holiday so that's how I got them. My husband thought they were pretty spiffy so I might go back sometime and get him a pair so we'll match! Cheesy! I was in such a good mood today from my good shoe puchase but hubby ruined it by mentioning he was taking me car shopping. Ugh! Right now I drive the same VW bug I've had since I was 16 so with another baby on the way it was definitely time to upgrade, but we had a few words. I wanted to get a nice four door sedan nothing to big, but he wants me to get an SUV. Why? He already has a huge Chevy Avalanche so why am I getting an SUV? Needless to say we went to a lot of different places today and talked to pushy car salesmen (gag me) and I'm stuck between 3 cars now. I either want to get the Honda Accord, the Nissan Maxima or I actually did like the Yukon Denali though its a little pricey, but more practical since we live in a state where it snows a lot. I have a lot to think about and it is actually really stressful, but hopefully I will be able to make up my mind. I hate this, but hey I still go some cool sneakers! Hooray!
I just went to check how much my paycheck was for (they do direct deposit only) and thank goodness my bonus was included this paycheck! I was kind of worried it wouldn't come until right before Christmas due to how our pay period is set up, but I'm thrilled it came today. This means I can finally finish up all the Christmas shopping I've been putting off. I think tonight I'm going to make my runs to the Glenbrook and Target. Those are really the only 2 places I need to go I'm not going to even attempt to hit up Wal-Mart until the middle of the week. I figure maybe I'll get lucky and it won't be as crowded. Than again its Wal-Mart it's always crowded. My hubby's finals are finally over (meaning I get him all to myself for at least a month) so he's taking Noah off my hands for a while. I'm excited to go to Target though because sure I'm going shopping for my family and what not, but that doesn't mean I can't pick up a little gift for myself. I want to see if they have the Sanuk's they've been advertising on their website. They are a bit pricey, but I heard they're really comfy and comfort is a big deal for me right now. I hope I find them considering I really have my little heart set on them! I saw they had them for men too so if I find a pair for Justin I'll by him an extra Christmas present. Wish me luck!
I just got a call from my aunt who lives in New Orleans and she says it's snowing! Wow! They always tell me how lucky I am that I get my fair share of snow because they always wish they had it and voila! She says it's not sticking though due to the fact it's mixed with rain and the temperature there isn't cold enough to make it last. Oh well. Hopefully she will send me some pictures to post when she gets a chance. I remember it snowing maybe once or twice that she's told me about so I'm happy for them. It makes you realize that little things like snow can really make someone's day.
I wasn't going to buy the game until after the Holiday's, but after going to Amazon.com and actually watching a preview of it I had to have it! I had played it on my DS and it seemed like a pretty fun game, but you know how it is anytime they add something new you have to buy it. Kind of like my out of control Sims 2 collection that I have been buying since it first came out. I was always there on the release day to pick up my copy, but I find I'm not that into it anymore. Back to the subject...I ended up buying it at Best Buy because of course I have my handy little Reward Zone card and my nice little $20 coupon they sent me in the mail. It was easy to find to my surprise I thought the little kids would have beat me to it, but not the case. I get my butt home and luckily Noah had just gone down for his nap so I have at least 2 hours to play maybe a little less. That was about a week ago and I am a full blown addict. Anytime Noah goes down for his nap I am rushing myself to the sofa to play the Wii. I think I may have even kicked my husband out of the living room the other night, though I don't remember doing it, but he says I did. I can honestly say I have no idea what makes this game so appealing to me. I mean when you really look at it, it's sooooooo stupid! I mean you talk to animals all day, spend way to much money, and just walk around, fishing or whatever. While it sounds pretty boring, it definitely keeps my attention. My husband attempted to play last night and was really scared that I knew where all the animals lived and I knew all there names. LoL! I'm not quite ready to give it up just yet and with New Years coming up quicker than I imagined I think I found my New Years resolution...LESS GAMING.
